AS I mentioned on my last post I went to see one of my favorite artists of all time, Morrissey. My best friend since I was 14 was unable to make the show but has made it up this week for a visit. Despite things like my Passat going to the shop and business meetings with certain club owners(outside of west palm bch,iwork clubs in other cities) that are just mindnumbing at best and all the other trappings of adulthood. It is the just the feeling in the world to have someone next to you that gets your jokes and have conversations that doesn't relate to the norm. I beg any of you that read this, the next time you see the your best friend let them know they are part pf your family and give them a hug. They deserve it and so do you.

I finally got to see Morrissey this past Tuesday in Jacksonville Florida. I have waited 20 years to see this show. Ever since i bought my first Smiths tape (yes it was a tape) called Strange Ways here We Come. They broke up before that LP ever came out. Moz has toured the US before but never this close to home. I have seen more concerts and Dj's than i can remember but this by far was the best concert yet.The thing that really set it apart from other events were my friends coming from all over to see it. Then there was just tons of people at the show I haven't seen in 10 or 15 years. It was like everyone knew each other in some way or another. It was a Vibe I haven't felt for a long time. Good times for a change , and we are all Still Ill.

 

 

Back to Black and Sticky Thumb are 2 of the best albums I have bought in years. Both will be in my 2007 Top 10 for sure. Winehouse sounds like a mix between Dusty Springfield and Diana Ross, but has modern lyricical content. One of my favorite producers/DJ, Mark Ronson, produced half the album. The White Stripes, well, sound like the White Stripes which is always good. Their sound is a little more full on this album .
