My State Exam

Tuesday, May 20, 2008, 10:20 AM EST [General]

Well, after a THREE YEAR apprenticeship and only god knows how many hours in school, I was finally able to take my State Certified General Appraiser's Exam.  And, well, not to brag but I aced it on my first try.  It was by far the hardest test I have ever taken though.  IT WAS 8 HOURS LONG!!!  But don't worry, I got a thirty minute break in between each four hours section.  ha-ha  But anyway, I p****ed it and I received my state license!  This is just an enormous weight lifted off my back!  Well, just wanted to let anybody who cares know...  Hope you all are doing well.

    D.C.

So the wife and I went on an amazing trip to D.C. this past weekend!  It was without a doubt one of my favorite trips ever.  It was one that I should have done much earlier on in my life...  but I'm just glad I finally did it!  The museums were amazing, especially the "behind the scenes" tour we got from the administrator of the National Gallery of Art!  So much fun and so many pics...  I will try to get some up as soon as I can.

    First Blog

Tuesday, January 15, 2008, 03:22 PM EST [General]

Well I have been accused of having a boring page and that I need to "spice it up a little!"  Well, to all my adoring fans out there (whoever you poor souls may be), "I am truly sorry."  Life is going good.  The wife and I couldn't be happier, but all this house work is killing me.  For those of you who don't know, we bought a home back in September and have been remodeling it.  I have to tell you, it gets REALLY old paying for a house that you don't live in...  So anyway...  We have been working on it every chance we get.  It is 2,900 square feet with a great pool and sits on about 3.5 acres in a great neighborhood.  We could have done only a few things to live in it immediately, but we want it to be exactly what we want.  So that means new cabinets, flooring, bathroom, painting, fans, baseboards, lighting throughout, etc.  We are basically working with bare walls.

So we have been bustin` our butts and it is finally looking like we might be in soon.  By "soon" I mean a few weeks.  I cannot wait to stay there the first night!  Well that is what has been and will continue to take up all my free time.  I will try to keep you all more updated on my progress.  See ya!
