I wrote this poem for my boyfriend's 5 year old son, tell me what you think!
Time Flies
Time sure flies,
When you're having fun.
Look at the clock,
It's a quater past one.
Look at me,
I learned to tie my shoe.
Now the colck on the wall,
Says it's twenty past two.
Hey I see a squirrel,
That's climbing a tree.
Ane now the clock,
Says it's half past three.
Knock, knock, knock,
I hear on the door.
Look at that,
It's ten after four.
Buzz, buzz, buzz,
I'm buzzing around a hive.
Now I can see,
It's five after five.
Can you help me,
Build a house of sticks,
Please before the clock,
says that it's six?
Say my prayers,
Time to think of heaven.
That rhymes with what time it is,
Seven.
Night, night, sleep tight,
It's time to turn out lights,
Sleep in your bed,
And rest your tired head.
Morning will come,
More play time to be had,
But for now just sleep,
And rest your tired head.
Close your eyes and dream.
